Race Day Goodies |
Organic Protein Shake by Purely Inspired - I drank an Organic Protein shake on my way to the race as it was the only thing I could eat before my run. The best organic protein shakes are made with pea and rice powders which mix easily. These are really great for after your run as a recovery drink. 20 grams of protein but only 130 calories, add it to almond or cashew milk for a serious protein bomb!
Omega Fish & Flax - by Rainbow Light is a Training Table staple as it offers inflammation support for joints, bones and muscles. I really do not use muscle rubs or creams anymore because even after a hard run, I am pain free. Promotes heart and brain health too. Taking one capsule a day equals eating 2-3 servings of Omega 3 rich fish a week. No fishy taste either. Made with Omega 3 Fish Oil, Flax Oil and Vitamin D3 it is truly Everyone's Omega Fish & Flax.
NEW Lean Protein Bar by Hydroxycut in Chocolate Fudge has added Green Coffee to the mix. Really delicious after today's race. If it had peanuts it would taste almost like a Snickers Bar! This one gives you 18 grams of protein in a little bar for only 160 calories with 60 coming from fat. REALLY good.
